New Airsoft IPSC/USAPSA Anchorage Site

Postby Dragnedy » Fri Feb 11, 2011 8:32 am

I am Edward or Dragnedy on AA I have been playing airsoft since '02. I was a SnowWolf and a founder of the Black Templars. Unfortunately a few years back life happened and getting out to play airsoft became harder and harder. Especially the drive to the missle site. Then I had a car accident and injured my ankle and cant flex it very well and so my running around in the woods days are over.

I have been doing a lot of plinking the last few years but with cost of ammo rising I started to look at airsoft again to practive some shooting skills. I came across the Bamairsoft site and realized I could really do some good practical training in the warmth and comfort of my garage. So my garage will be the location or at least in the beginning of most competitions(I do have plans to expand if interest is good). It all depends on interest and turn out.

Right now it is thirteen degrees out and I spent a couple hours today shooting at a Bam Star in my pajamas. And I think that is really cool. I think others might think it would be cool too. So if your interested post thoughts ideas and comments or feel free to help out with the site.

I also want to provide updated content on airsoft and real steel alike. I will be posting results of all competitions and have plans to take video. I strongly encourage people to get involved as this will be a site for anyone who wants to get involved.

My site is still underconstruction, but feel free to post. What I want or need now is help with how thing should be done, site setup, and just how to implement competitions. I dont want to conflict with AA games so I am thinking of more evening, Sunday or Midweek events. I am looking at having an open house by the first week of March. I hope you visit my site and post some comments. The more people who are involved the more we can do. By the way this is not a business, any money that I make whether through advertising or rental guns will go to more equipment. Right know I have plans on buying range guns, shot timer/s, stop plate timer, falling targets, portable garage/s(outdoor or expanded events) and stuff for screens. Also check out Bamairsoft.com for videos and ideas of what we can do. Also please check out AirsoftFix.com as the plan to be getting in some new GBBs.

Thanks,
Edward

Welcome back Edward!

I don't consider myself an active competitive shooter, but I've participated in a handgun speed course at one of our larger summer games a few years back and it was a blast! I'm definitely looking forward to competitive shooting events taking place up here, as it will give some of us something to do when it's 10 below and snowing outside, as well as some variety during the summer months.

If you have (or want) a GBB and haven't tried competitive shooting before, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

I was always interested in this for airsoft but I never had a garage so I couldn't set it up or practice. It sounds fun.

Thank you for the support?

I did just post some ideas for running competitions so check them out and again I strongly suggest post your own ideas or come up with your own challenge and challenge people to beat your time.

That sounds like a great idea Dragnedy. Just one question. Is there a difference between BAMsoft and Airsoft?

AKsoftsniper, you just called out God right there.

Ok, you are new obviously but you need to read rule 7. Now take into consideration Moe is an Admin.

Now take into consideration you have NEVER played a game with AA.
After your temp ban IF YOU GET ONE please take the time to come out to a game and get to be known.

Thanks,

-Mike.
