Op Lion Claws Series Op coming to the NW

Alaskan Airsofters, I dont know how many of you receive updates from the Op Lion Claws MilSim Series list. I have been getting updates from them for the last six years and try to attend as many of them as I can.

To the point, John Lu the organizer and head of the OLCMSS, in his most recent release stated that come August there will be an Op titled Operation Trade Winds occurring in the North West region of the United States. I figured this would be the closest that OLCMSS has come to Alaska and would therefore be pertinent info to get out to all of you.

I am planning on attending either Op Night Scorpion in March outside of Dallas, TX at Fort Wolters which is a challenging woodland battle across a massive AO or Op Lion Claws in Victorville, California at the abandoned George AFB facility located there. Lion Claws occurs on memorial day weekend each year and this one is a massive MOUT event using real world facilities instead of a MOUT facility.

Some background information on these Ops:
They are typically three day events. Friday will be a checkin/registration/chrono day in the afternoon. There may also be an AO walkthrough and command staff briefs. Saturdays are the main heart of the Op with more registration/chrono early in the morning, followed by three sets of three hour sessions and a possible night game. The next day there is typically a three hour session with a raffle before teardown.

LC X this year was awesome. The AO was great, good amount of indoor and outdoor fighting. Only one problem really this year was the wind. If the wind started blowing just as you were making your assault it could cut your range down by half.

Im headed to Lion Claws XI with some guys from my former Air Force team. I could possibly vouch for someone if you need as I am an alumni of many ops. I however will not babysit you to get you there or make any of your travel arrangements. That falls entirely on the individual.

You going Alpha this year? I'll be Bravo like normal. If you are wandering around and you see The Lost Sheep flag flying I'll be the fat bearded one someplace close by.

I am dusting off the DCUs and going Alpha.

Good to hear that there will be other AK players out there.
