Throat Mics

Does anyone know of a throat mic that actually works for under $100? Or should i just skip the throat and get something else?

Unless the technology has advanced significantly in the last 5 years, I'd say go for something else. I had an Iasus mic a while back and it was extremely picky about placement, and you had to carefully enunciate your words when talking.

For under $100 not a snow balls chance in hell. If you want something easy to transmit and receive clearly go with peltors. There are cheaper brands I hear work just as good but you'll never have to second guess a transmission again.

I can agree with FOX and Kyle, you get what you pay for in anything that involves Comms. Go with with a decent boom mic and save yourself the headache and frustration that comes with throat mics.

Like Fox I use Peltor Comtacs, but you can just as easily find knockoffs that will do what you need for under $50.
