fbx code of conduct

Postby revmikey » Wed Apr 29, 2009 12:12 am

FAIRBANKS AIRSOFT CODE of conduct:

1. When in the safe zone ( staging area ) all air soft rifles must be clear and safe
( clear and safe: remove the magazine make sure there are no bbs in the chamber and place the rifle in the safety on position )
1a. There will be no shooting of any air soft guns in the safe zone
( there will be a designated area for test firing and sighting in purposes )

2. Do not point your air soft guns at ANYTHING you do not intend to shoot.

3. Do not point your air soft guns at any one who is not wearing proper eye protection

4. Do not fire your air soft guns at anything not involved in the game at hand.
( this includes people passing through and local wild life, cars, 4wheelers, dogs, squirrels, moose ect.)

5. When hit, call it and call it loud and put your air soft gun or your hands clearly up in the air. If a shooter can’t tell that you are hit, they will most likely continue to shoot you ( no fun )(except when participating in a medic game.then , when hit, you are to fall to the ground as if mortally wounded and call for a medic to assist you. if you do not drop to the ground, expect to be shot again until you do)
5a. WHEN YOU GET HIT, CALL YOURSELF OUT ( every one hates a dishonest player. If enough players report to me that you are not calling your self out after clearly getting hit, you will be removed from the game. If you are removed from 4 games you will not be invited back.)
5b. DO NOT LIE ABOUT SOMEONE NOT CALLING THEIR HITS. ( this is a very serious accusation for it can get a player banned from games. Be honest. If it is discovered that you have lied to get some one banned from games you will be banned and the accused will be invited back to take your placed )
5c. When engaging a target, pay attention to your targets surrender/death call ( no one enjoys being shot after they have already called out.)
5d. Use your better judgment on fire control ( do not just spray down your target with bbs. Shoot only enough to score your hits. )
5e. If a player is taking the roll of game photographer, do not target them ( game photographer must still wear proper eye protection. )
5f. blind firing is PROHIBITED. you must be looking at what you are shooting at.
5g. the dead do not speak (when "hit" or "dead" please do not try to carry on conversations with any other players unless you return to the staging area before begining the conversation. the exception is in medic games you may call for the medic and make sounds as if you are wounded.) IF YOU ARE ACTUALLY INJURED CALL "GAME STOP" AS LOUD AS YOU CAN SO WE CAN GET FIRST AID TO YOU. see #7

6. If you have a problem with another player bring it to my attention so we can try to find a resolution. ( do not start fights at or on the air soft field.)

7. If you or another player is injured, call a “game stop“ and call it loud as you can.. Then get a certified first aid giver. I am certified in cpr, first aid, and blood borne pathogens and will have a first aid kit on hand ( see revmikey )
7a. If you are certified in first aid, present your current certification card and I will add you to the list of qualified first aid givers.

8. At this time there will be no use of fire works at the air soft field. This includes but is not limited to : smoke bombs, fire crackers, cherry bombs, mortors ect. ( this is due to the fact that none of us own the land on wich we play and there are houses all around the area. The last thing we need is to bother the local home owners with excessive load noise and colored smoked drifting through there front yards. )

9. If you own “real steel” fire arms, please leave them locked up at home. There is no were that is safe to shoot a real fire arm at the air soft field and to much risk of one ending up in a game. For every ones safety including the houses in the area, do not bring your firearms to the air soft games.

5f. Don't blind fire, you may unintentionally light some one up from point blank

I really wish that when we get hit we have to fall to the ground and give a good scream - but not convincing enough that someone would think we were actually hurt. i get really tired of hearing 'hit'. it really sucks away the fun for me.

I would happily drop to theground screaming and writhing in pain until a medic came by and patched me up.

I would also love it if dead people didn't stop and have conversations along the way.....

i second this, if you dead please hurry out of the way, i have had several times where a dead person got in my way or in my shot.
example in order for me to get a clear shot on Aaron i had to run around Gobi

looks like we have enough regular members in agreement here so i will amend the code of conduct.

the dead will not talk except in the case of calling for a medic or making their "dead" sounds lol.

also when playing medic games we can give the no calling "hit" idea a shot. players when hit must drop to the ground as if mortally wounded and call for a medic to assist them.

and from now on, blind firing is prohibited. you must be looking at what ever you are shooting at.

if you guys agree with how i have worde the amendments, let me know and i will add them to the original post.

this is all about the players, so if you guys have suggestions it is cool to give your input here ( like these fellers did above) and if enough players agree with your ideas and they wont put players into to much danger i will add them to the official code of conduct. :D

however if you have any magor complaint ( especially if they have to do with specific players) please pm me so we can try to solve it in a civil manor and not turn our section of the forums into a huge pointless argument that may end up splitting up are already small numbers. ( not saying that this has happened or is a current issue, just putting it out there for you guys)

cheers,
mikey :P
